Halloween Countdown No. 4: Frankenweenie (2012), directed by Tim Burton. A black-and-white stop-motion film from Disney.
Victor's dog Sparky is his best friend. When Sparky dies, Victor uses a lightning storm to bring him back. It works, and soon every kid in town wants to try it.
It lets grief be big and a little strange, and it still ends on how much love was there. PG.
