A magical dragon is left alone when the little boy who played with him grows up.
"Puff, the Magic Dragon" is a folk song written by Peter Yarrow and Leonard Lipton, based on a poem Lipton wrote in 1959 as a Cornell student. Peter, Paul and Mary released it as a single in January 1963 and included it on their album Moving. It tells of a dragon named Puff and his childhood playmate Jackie Paper, who grows up and leaves their games behind, leaving Puff alone.
