Listen to this when
smiling through it, again 🙂
Wilco offers wry 'advice' on hiding loneliness by smiling and laughing all the time.
"How to Fight Loneliness" is the eighth track on Summerteeth, Wilco's third studio album, released by Reprise Records in March 1999. Jeff Tweedy wrote the lyrics, with music credited to Tweedy and Jay Bennett. The song is framed as a weary, sarcastic instruction manual for fighting solitude, and it comes from a period when Tweedy was under strain from touring away from his family.
